Shiffren shows ALL the correct lower and upper body movements. The continual use of counter balance (angulation) and counter action (counter) movements is completely obvious. CB is imperative to maintain balance and CA is imperative to increase outside ski edge hold. Inclination and skiing square are clearly not prefered skiing positions for this racer. Both of which I see all the time from those on the hill charged with teaching others how to ski.
The still frame of agreen's video also shows his lack of CB. If he lifted his inside ski at that point in the turn he would fall over. Some might say he needs to widen his stance so that he has a wider platform for stability but, would that be progressing his skiing and balance skills? Would he ever be able to ski like Grange or Shiffren? I think not .
