What's up y'all? I'm 19 years old and looking to buy my first pair of fat skis.
I've been on skis about 12-15 days a year for 14 years. Probably 60% in the midwest/east (Snowshoe, Whiteface, Blue knob ect.) and 40% In the Cottonwood Canyons and Squaw. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty accomplished (really not good at judging my own level, I'm comfortable skiing probably 85% of stuff off of Supreme at Alta if that helps).
I'm 6'1", 160lbs, and in pretty good shape. I'm a Gemini, love dogs, and am a sucker for a good cheeseburger, but I digress...
Anyway, I'm currently on K2 extremes (85mm at the waist) and I'm looking to add a ski to my quiver (of one). I'm going to have more opportunities in the coming future to spend time Utah and Tahoe, so I think its time.
I demoed a pair of Gotamas on a 10 inch day at Solitude last year, but other than that have no experience with wide or rockered skis.
I've been looking at (among others):
On3P Billy Goat or Caylor (very intrigued by these, anyone have any experience?)
Line Sir Francis Bacon
Atomic Bent Chetler
I'm very open to new suggestions, though. Really, any help would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!
