I'm a confused ski parent and I've decided to apply for your valuable inputs and help...
My daughter is 8 years old and she's 60 lbs (27 kg), 4'3" (130cm)... this is her 3rd year on slopes and with her aggressive style (mood actually) she challanges the boys in her age as well. She's in a race team and I've never put her on aggressive skis until recently. she was on mostly atomics 7s and 8s
But this year I've bought her Fischer Worlcup GS Jr. (with wc low plate) 135 cm. and she adored it an she tries to put them on in every occasion... I think that we've solved our GS problem in one shot and it seems to good to be true :-)
But for the SL, the dilemma continues I had bought Fischer RC4 Superrace Jr. 120 cm for the slalom but she insists on GS skis and she says that the 120 cm SL is no fun to ski :-( ... Now I seriously consider to upgrade to Fischer RC4 Worldcup SL Jr. 130 (with wc low plate) but I'm not sure if they will ver-ski for my daughter, since they are at the same height with her.
Would you please help me in that SL issue, if I should go for 130 cm Fischer RC4 Worldcup SL Jr. or, should I stick to current 120 cm Fischer RC4 Superrace Jr.??? (PS: I everytime take good care of skis and have them waxed and sharped regularly)
And one additional note, if it helps; she likes to ski GS more than SL and she's acting a bit late to take her position between gates than her coaches wishes her to do...
Cheers and thanks in advance.
