Hi so I would appreciate it if you could look over this and give a first time buyer advice.
Ive heard from EVERYONE that boots are the most important thing to buy. So, I'm an intermediate skier and can ski pretty much the entire mountain. I love powder and don't really hit the park that much.
So I have a narrow foot..Im kind of looking for a mix between performance and comfort.
I tried on a few boots at a small shop with a knowledgable staff but thought they were a bit too expensive for my price range: I tried the Dalbello Rampage ($450) which has a 98mm width. It was snug and fit well. I was told that this boot or an even more expensive boot would be the best. I don't doubt them, but wanted to look at cheeper options.
So I tried on a couple others at REI. The Nordica Cruise 70 ($250) and Salomon Quest Access X70 ($330). Both have 104mm widths. Though both are considered Novice boots. Even though I was told I have a narrow foot would it make a HUGE difference with the extra space???
Now I've searched online and it seems the Rampages are all advanced models, while the other two are Novice skiing ability. Does this matter much?
So, what's your recommendation? Should I go with the Ramapges? Or do you think the cheeper alternatives would also work? And if you have suggestions on any others that would be great. I'm gonna try on the Dalbello Blender ($360) at another shop so I guess that's an option.
Thanks for reading this and any advice will be appreciated.
