Marker Motion Binding System Question (2010/2011 Volkl AC20)

i've adjusted Marker bindings for various boot sizes before (remove the binding, select boot size range, remount on the rail, set DIN and check forward pressure), but these look different (2010/2011 Volkl AC20). i guess Marker changed the system since the last time i did this, there is now a lot of movement available without having to remove the bindings from the rail...which i guess is nice. but i don't understand what the numbers written on the bindings are in reference to. i would assume boot size, but it doesn't seem to be the case. can anyone tell me what these numbers are referring to (circled in red in the attached pictures)? of course i could easily adjust the bindings to fit my boots with no regard for the numbers, but they obviously are supposed to help me center the boot properly on the ski, right?

i'm sure it's a simple answer, but any help is greatly appreciated.

oh, are these demo bindings? that would explain why they are easily adjusted without having to remove them from the rails. i've never had demo bindings, so please excuse my ignorance. but i still don't understand what the numbers mean...

i have another pair of Volkl skis (AC1s) with non-demo bindings. since the AC20s are now my main skis, should i replace the demo bindings with the non-demo bindings from my AC1s (Marker Motion LT)? i think the rail system is the same, so they would probably slide right on. are the LT bindings better?

Boot sole length in millimeters... I believe you'd put a 308mm boot on the 304 line.

ahh, i see. thanks. and is there no separate forward pressure adjustment?

You'll still need to adjust the forward pressure... make sure the boot is out of the binding if you have to move the heel piece.

there appears to be a little white indicator area on the tail piece...and it appears that the forward pressure is properly set. although, i'm just a bit surprised that there isn't a separate forward pressure adjustment screw. i guess when one is dealing with demo bindings, there is only one adjustment (the heel and toe movement), and the forward adjustment is coincidentally set?

I don't know this particular binding but there's usually a worm screw that needs adjusting in order to get the correct forward pressure. It might help if you post a picture and see if others might be able to help.

here's a picture of the back of the binding, with a boot in it. indeed, i'm used to seeing a screw to adjust the forward pressure...but there is none to speak of. but you'll notice the white box and those two little silver prongs. i'm guessing that is the forward pressure indicator?

you are correct. Demo bindings are like hand grenades, close enough is good enough.

If the forward pressure is not acceptable, you tweak the BSL adjustment.

thanks for the help, guys.

so is there a difference between the demo bindings and the regular bindings on the Volkl AC20s? i can see in pictures that the bindings seems to be pretty much the same, but the mounting system is different (although i assume the non-demo version has a front pressure adjustment screw). anyone know if they are same height off the ski?
