tecnica bodacious tech soles standard din binding compatible or not?

The new tecnica bodacious is advertised to be dynafit compatible.  Obviously, if you buy a burly 130 flex 4 buckle boot you are not going to buy it exclusively for the backcountry.  I would want to use for my lift service skiing and for the backcountry with my dynafit set up.

So the question is, if you put on the dynafit compatible soles on, can you not use the boot with a standard din binding?

thanks!

it might fit in the binding, but might not realease all the time.   Hard to say without testing your exact combo.  Bindings with an adjustable toe height will do better (high end salomon, and high end markers)

Thx for reply.

So essentially you are saying that a fair litmus test is to just test the boot binding combo with a release tool and if it falls into acceptable margins, then it is ok, if not then, it isn't.

I guess that is something, but that makes me nervous.   If it is that temperamental you would think a little wear on the sole might ruin an "acceptable" combination.

It is beyond me why tecnica would go through all this effort to come out with this boot and not design a sole that will work with all bindings.

I think the bodacious is just a stepping stone, for when technica combines the walk mode of the cochise, with the narrower shell of the bodacious.   They wanted to make sure both ideas will work, and then release the narrower version.    Have you tried to use the DIN soles from the cochise on the bodacious shell?  might fit?

As far as I know the DIN sole kit for the cochies are the same foot beds that come with the Bodacious.  They are not dynafit compatible.  It seems that they foolishly didn't create a DIN dynafit sole.

Please remember, that bindings being used with Touring soles are not subject to non release, it's the pre release problem, the binding being forced under extra tension gives it the impression that you are already falling. The non release issue is a rental Myth!!!!!

Interesting, I don't totally follow.  Can you expand upon that?
