Sir Francis Bacon - Which size?

Hello folks,

I'm about to buy the Sir Francis Bacon 2012 for 50% slope / 50% powder use. I'm from Europe so haven't skied a lot of powder, mostly slope. Now I moved to the US, time to star some powder. Really likes the reviews here about those skis.

I'm a 6.1 foot guy, 175 pounds.

Which length, and where would you place the binding. I am tempted to say slightly backwards, but since powder is pretty rare in Tahoe I do a fair bit of slope skiing.

Thanks for an independent opinion.

Alex.

A. No powder in Tahoe?

B. Get the 185.

C. Mount it at recommended or you will be fighting the design of the ski.

Thanks, I was leaning towards 184 as well.

Honestly, I was a bit disappointed last season when going to Tahoe. Probably picked the wrong weekends, it was pretty slushy and tracked out.

Hope this season will be better. And I will stay away from overcrowded Heavenly :)
