Well Hi There!

Hey guys, obviously this is my first post here. I didn't see an introduction section so I guess either you post here, or we don't introduce ourselves. That or I'm a complete idiot and didn't see it. biggrin.gif

Anyway, in addition to my first time here it's also my first year skiing. After living in Utah for 10 years some of my friends finally asked me if I wanted to go skiing with them. Being an adventurous person I said yes and spent the day learning how to ski. Now I'm a beginner-novice(?) skier cool.gif

I got my gear at DI (any Utahns here?) and they seem to be fine for at least my first year of skiing. I will post later asking about exactly what I got because I'm still unsure rolleyes.gif

Anyway, glad I found this forum!

You'll have a blast... the community of Epicski "bears," as we call ourselves, is very warm.

How is the skiing coming along?  Are you enjoying yourself?

Yes it's fun. My friends took me up to the highest intermediate run available at the time (for my first day) and helped me out a little. Near the end I pretty much had my carving and stopping down. Only been once though!

Been trying to keep myself busy jk.gif Because there isn't *that* much snow on the hills right by my house. And I plan on just walking over to them and skiing them when I'm not spending $100 on a resort and lifts cool.gif Call me hardcore or confused, I don't really care. As long as I can ski somewhere, I'm happy biggrin.gif

Good attitude.  Skiing anywhere beats not skiing.  icon14.gif

And welcome to Epic.
