Sugarloaf Maine, stay on slope just ski and relax, plenty of terrain for you and your son to enjoy all over the mountain even from the top. They have pipe and multiple parks of all sizes and abilities , groomers, bumps, long cruisers from the top. I live in the middle of Vermont and I drive 6 hours to get there with young kids when I go for a ski vacation. The combination of affordable on slope lodging, did I mention ON SLOPE ski in, ski out lodging, lots of terrain, plenty of places to eat, They usually have tubing at night but you should both be exhausted after skiing all day that all you want to do is eat, sleep and reload for the next day. Snow is usually the best the 1st week of March up there. To me it is the best overall resort in the east.
