Daily ski rentals in Breck (Frisco) area?

Ill be in the Breck, staying in Frisco for a few days 8th and 9th and I will not be lugging my gear. I have opted to rent. My ? is where should I rent and what should I rent? Should I rent on the MT or off MT and where, Should  I go with a demo option?

Breck's site has rentals, Performance package is 34.40 and the Demo Package is 42.40...

Always an interesting dilemma:

Rent from a shop on the way in to town and avoid the crowds and delays getting gear on the morning when you are trying to get out on the mountain for the early turns.

Rent from the base lodge and you don't have to carry the gear through the parking lot, which can be quite a long walk and winded ordeal while adjusting to the altitude.

I'd rather carry my stuff than wait in another line in the morning getting ready to ski personally, but if I had little kids along I'd probably opt for waiting in line at the lodge instead.

Precision Ski & Golf in Frisco has fairly high-end rentals, I believe. Equipment should be in good shape because I think they tune between each rental.

When my daughters come to visit in February, I'm taking them to AMR, which is a block away from the Gondola in Breck. They'll bring their own boots.

Breck Sports is near the base of lifts at both Peak 8 and Peak 9, but as Crgildart notes, they can be very busy. However, they're right there if there is a problem or if you do the demo thing.

You can also rent from Breeze ski rentals in Frisco.  A long time ago, I would rent from Virgin Ski Deals in Silverthorne.

I get my skis tuned at Precision. I wouldn't rent at the mountain -- you'll pay a premium price for an inferior product.  Plus if you are going to the bottom of Peak 8, I'm not even sure there is much of a rental shop there. At least I do not know where it is...

I've had good experiences with Main Street Sports in Breck. Located on Main street towards the peak 9 side of town but pretty close to the gondola still. Cheapest quality stuff I know of in area. Do not know what their demo stock is like however. Would definitely suggest paying the $5 for the boot upgrade there.
