A couple of observations for the top of the page..
- When did "long johns" become "base layers"? Was it around the time that "trucks" and "station wagons" became "SUVs"?
- If you're new to skiing follow advice from others that aren't. If you're not then keep wearing what works for you while experimenting with new products here and there.
- I'm looking at the 14" tall pile of folded clothes (including the jacket) that I plan to wear tomorrow while skiing in 40 degree weather. I'm thinking if it were expensive "base layers" instead of waffle weave long johns I would not notice the difference while actually skiing. I could have a rock in my sock and not notice it while actually skiing. Standing in line or riding the lifts is when those pesky imperfections are top of mind. But, while actually moving on snow and having the most fun that is currently legal I could care less what I'm wearing.
