Thanks. I needed that.
You're starting to begin some very odd threads. But: 1) The major ROM you should be concerned about is abduction/adduction, and unless you're running gates at 50 mph or imitating Harold Harb, it won't be that dramatic. Your own flexibility, and counteracting stretch reflex of your iliotibial band, will be the limiting factors. 2) Go check out an old Marky Mark Calvin Klein ad, or wander through a men's department in a department store. There are these white objects, made of cotton with a bit of elastic or spandex, called "briefs." They fit nicely under seriously tight (eg, spandex "muscle control") base layers.
See! you think my germophobic behavior is strange and yet we semmingly agree here! I like the nike performance compression brief's and they keep the boys "out of the way". Maybe its a personal issue and others don't have the need to snug-down their parts?
Taboo? Uncomfortable? Maybe fore some.
This thread has been helpful, as I am going to forget the underwear.
The medium Champion boxer-briefs DO limit my hip ROM in all planes. And yes, I do ski aggressively/fast.
If your underwear is limiting you then maybe you aren't strong enough to ski the way you think you do. I wear the same thing and have never felt any hinderance doing Crossfit or any other "aggresive" activity.
If your funk is soiling your underwear to the point that it can't be washed out in the washing machine then you may want to see a doctor about that...
I think that is why Hermann Maier retired from the world cup. His medium underwear was holding him back. It is a shame he never thought to try a large.
mexican food, beer, altitude, you do the math......
Maybe not the hot dog, but ....... I'm all for bringing back the tight stretch pants... that is for shapely females
For me it is all about supporting and properly securing the pieces and parts. I never have found a "base layer" to do that adequately. UA boxer briefs offer a nice hammock for the package to rest in. Nothing worse than damaging your own junk.
Then perhaps a LARGE would be in order
/Can't imagine why this thread hasn't hit the carousel
Underwear for skiing is sized like ski boots...just go down 2 sizes from your street size, then punch and grind as needed. Unless there is a vacuum dealer for panties too.
I am very enthusiastic when it comes to posting pictures, but I don't think pictures of me in my medium underwear is appropriate for this site.
Bro, you tele. 'nuff said.
