Blizzard M-Power Sizing, Make a Decision for me!

Buying a Blizzard M-Power, but I'm not sure what size to get.

About me: 5' 8" 145# EC racer.  I'll be traveling to Maine and Vermont, plus NY of course, this year.  These are primarily going to be my one ski quiver-- besides race and powder skis... so not really a one ski quiver I guess more like a ski to cover me from 70mm to 105mm underfoot.

Anyways I don't know if I should get the 167cm or 174cm.  I tend to like a shorter ski, so I was leaning towards to 167cm but I'm not too sure about how much rocker there really is in them (and if you can feel it).

AHHHH so hard to decide!  Make this decision for me.  Please and thank you.

174? As an ex-racer, you'll know what to do with the extra length. I'm 165, 6', not an ex-racer, loved the 174 in the straight 8.7, far as I know the M is simply the same ski with a Marker oil piston at ski center. So a bit damper, bit better grip, bit more force required for big bends. (I own the G-Power, that's the diff between it and the Supersonic.) The early rise I've heard is not all that dramatic, but OTOH, the ski didn't ski long even without it.

174 for sure... The early rise in the tip lets them pivot easier as slower speeds and makes skiing non groomed terrain easier but you'd be hard pressed to feel it on groomers.  They're actually pretty soft lengthwise so if you have a race background you'll have no problem bending the 174 at slower speeds but that added length will make them more fun at higher speeds.  They are a blast at speed, really stable and feel like they are glued to the snow.

Love the G-Power! I skied the 2011 in a 167 and it was probably one of my favorite skis eve, which of course makes deciding the size for the M-Power even harder but from what I'm hearing the 174 sounds good. Go big or go home I guess.

Yeah, my G-Powers are 167 because I use them as a daily driver on smaller slopes that can get pretty icy and crowded. Kind of midway between a Sl and GS feel, unearthly grip. Would have gotten the 174's if I had a decent sized home mountain; the 167's are money on anything packed down, even bumps, but have a speed limit.

Ah gotcha.  At 6' though I would think a 174 would be the go to size for you.
