Looking for boots and skis for twin 4-year-old girls

Hi,

I'm looking for two sets of equipment for my twin girls. They are 4 1/2 years old, and they have been on skis for the past couple of years, although I think this coming year will be the year they start getting into it.  (We were on the verge at the end of last season.)

We currently have skis that are 70cm, but that's too short now, right?  We need boots that are size 9 and size 11.  Anyone have suggestions?

I'm just getting into this with my son, myself.  He went out a couple of times last year on 80's and now I'm putting him on 90's.  Check out the the recent thread I started about ski length in regard to your ski question.  From what I've gathered people here suggest between chin and sternum or even shorter if you want.  A boot that seems to be popular here is the Roces adjustable boot, but I haven't tried it.  We just got a bunch of boots of of craigslist ranging from free-$5 and they're fairly decent.  We're going to craigslist it until we make sure he really takes to it and we figure out exactly what we want.

Good luck!

advice ?

Try to find a place that leases your skis for the season. For a growing, young kid it's not a gamble if you can exchange as they grow some and you're not locked into bad purchases . The purchases are only bad if you don't get value out of them. 4 year olds  don't wear skis and boots out they grow out of them ,fast

I agree, especially since you're outfitting kids of the same age.  I'm only buying and considering buying again in the future because I have two boys and we can pass them down.

Story of my young life. My brother was two years older. After a bit he couldn't trash stuff as fast as I could.

I joke that my husband and I are the oldest children in our families, so we have no empathy for the kid who gets the hand me downs :)
