Nordica Firearrow F1 - anybody tried it?

I am intrigued with the design of the new Nordica Firearrow boots.  The design looks very practical with obvious benefits - easy to get on/off, 45 degree buckle to hold the heel down in the heel pocket, high lower cuff on the sides for lateral stiffness. Doesn't mean that it will ski worth a darn but it seems to make sense.  Would like to find out from others before I spend my cash to be the test dummywink.gif

Hi there.  I own the Firearrow F1 and love them. I had some minor mods done by my bootfitter and added custom orthotics and Hotronics heaters. I've skied with them 15 times this season and definitely notice an improvement in my skiing.  My only complaint about them is they aren't as well insulated as my old boots so I have to kick up the heaters to stay warm.  (FYI, I'm female and I have Reynauds so that may not be a factor for you.)  But, they are great.  I'm a ski instructor and, after I showed up to work in my new F1s, another instructor bought them a week later.  We're both very happy.

I spent about 3 hours in the F1 and found the shell height to be a bit low for my metatarsals. I tried playing around with various footbeds (including my custom ones) but that didn't help. The F1 has less room in the toe box than a SpeedMachine 14, which equally has a 100mm last. If you have a high arch or protruding bones, this boot might not be for you. Try before you buy...
