CTi OTS Knee Brace (anyone used this?)

Had an ACL tear last year so I'm playing it safe with braces for now.  I received these braces today.  Can anyone comment on their performance or comfort?

I haven't had a chance to try them on with a ski boot.  Vertically the brace is long and I'm worried the brace will hit the top of my boot.  Hopefully not.

See a bootfitter if it conflicts with the boot tongue. Sometimes adjustments can be made to lower tongue height.

Was there a reason you got the OTS one instead of a custom one? I love my custom CTi2. Great fit and it has a special ACL retention device (extra cable that holds your lower leg from slipping forward). If insurance is paying, it shouldn't be much (if any) more to get a custom one vs. OTS.

I've had the most luck with CTi braces. Tried Breg and Donjoy and they just don't fit me as well. I've also started using the Asterisk ones because I didn't have insurance, needed a new brace and could get them at a discount. There are some cool things about the Asterisk (the tightening system is much better and the built-in knee pad is nice).

My insurance did pay for them but the guy from Hangers felt that the OTS was sufficient.  It turns out they don't conflict with the boots.  They do seem bulky to me.  I'm envisioning how I'm going to carry them into the lodge, where I'll put them on, should I just put them on before I leave the house, etc....hopefully I'll get used to them quick.

I use Donjoy, no boot issues, have found the easiest approach is to put them on back when getting dressed. OTOH, they can fit folded over into a largish boot bag above helmet, don't know about your brand.
