So I'm looking into getting a pair of new boots in the next couple weeks and had some questions I hope the great boot guys on here could answer. I live in Atlanta and the nearest place to go is Peter Glenn. I'm not sure how experienced the guys are there and everyone oh this board seems to be very helpful and knowledgeable. I thought it would be a good idea to get the information I could here to keep in mind when I go to Peter Glenn.
I'm 32 years old, 5'4" 130lbs, pretty lean and athletic. I was an inline speedskater for 15 years. I've been skiing 4 or 5 times before and am a pretty aggressive skier and really enjoy glades, moguls, and bowls. I will ski just about anything without a big cliff, but probably won't look that super pretty doing it. I would say I am a 6-7 level skier.
Is there anything I should look for that would clue me in to "this person has no idea what they are talking about" or anything I should worry about if they don't say or do?
I know the flex index is brand specific, but given my description above, what would be a good range?(ie. Low, mid, high, really high)?
I am a size 40.5 and 7.5US sneaker size(pretty snug), so I'm guessing I will be a mondo size 25, 25.5, or 26?
Any comments about specific brands that might apply?
Any other comments would be greatly appreciated.
