It is a great story that some people go out and do this stuff, but you prompted me to go and and look at the results. The snow leopard finished 40 seconds behind the ultimate winner over two runs. I think his self marketing ability is of much more interest than his down hill skiing ability.
But does the fact this guy went down a hill 20seconds slower than someone else make him a guy who ski anywhere with absolute confidence, ski in no fall zones, and be considered one level down from absolute ski god. I dont think so!
Does the fact BWPA lost 80 pounds mean he has proven peoples flexibility, age, eyesight, reaction time, fears of height, balance & co ordination etc etc can be fixed to just in the same way of getting off your ass! No, I think it proves he lost some weight and if he is level skier he has realised his potential. well done anyway its a great acheivment for you personally.
But maybe he could of been a 10 if he lost weight earlier?
If you must say every body can be a level 9 then the grading must be wrong, because there is no way everybody can be just below a god of a skier just like we cant all go out and hit 1 or 2 shots behind Tiger Woods even if I go out and practice all day all night for ten years and loose 20 pounds.
If you think I am over doing it with the god of a skier bit, read the ratings again and see what number is just below 10 which equals god of a skier!
Not sure how god got in discussion, but if you knew me that would be considered a pretty funny tack for this discussion to take.

And getting citizenship in some snow-free country in order to represent them.)
I doubt anyone thought he had the right building blocks as a 27 year-old. I mean, a lot of ski racers start skiing before they can walk. He's a perfect example of overcoming the development windows that are in theory quite concrete.
