I've seen in many posts people calling themselves a grade 6,7 or 8 skier.
Can someone explain what is the rationale behind this grading, what is the highest level?
In Australia lessons only go up to level 5 which they sort into varied groups with quick look on the slopes. There used to be a level 6 but they seem to have dropped that for what is now called all mountain and our instructor this year seemed to vett people out by giving extreme explainations of what we will be skiing for the day! First lessons Ive had for years and was real good. I think it has a lot to do with instructor and the similar level skiers to make a good lesson. But I have diverged!
Are the gradings refered to here based on pregessive level of instruction or self proclaimed?
I see a lot call themselves aggresive skiers and seems to be a 7 or 8, is this charging double blacks with courage only or skill of carving tip to tail? Maybe in some cases both, or does that make you a 9?
Just curious and wondering if Im a 3,5 or 8
