Well, if they're really improvements, then, by definition, cheers are in order. Otherwise it's just "building new stuff," which might or might not be improvements. That's my snarky answer. My real answer is, "Cheers. Always. Until and unless they get to the point where an institutional, Disney-esque, mass-market element begins to creep in and take away from the "happy skiing days of yore" feeling. If the next big improvement is NOT the gleaming new higher capacity chair out of the base that has been desperately needed for three or four years - so that there is some way to get onto the hill without waiting for an ancient, slow double - then I assure you there will be a chorus of groans you'll be able to hear over on your coast.
