When your home mountain announces improvements, are they greeted with groans or cheers?
I've got a pass at Squaw/Alpine Meadows, as well as the EpicPass, which makes Northstar one of my home mountains.
Squaw has slated some huge improvements this year (debatable depending if your a Squaw local that doesn't want to see change), as has Northstar. I'll refrain from saying much about Squaw's "improvements" until I get a chance to ski them for myself.
There are some improvements slated for Northstar that I am looking forward to and some that I'm not sure I understand correctly. Jury is still out on the new chair for the backside. Not sure if the placement of it is really going to do much for ski terrain access.
This article has an image of the new lodge at the top of the Zephyr Lift at Northstar, which has been a private lodge (may still be) That's definitely an improvement over the old lodge.
