Any thoughts for an EpicSki mobile browser?

I use Dolphin Browser to read the site on my android phone.  Can access and read the site well enough through it, though it would be nice to have a version of the site setup for mobile devices.

FYI GetJar.Com is giving away a paid copy of Tapatalk through their market app.  that might work better for forum browsing on Android phones and tablets.

Just downloaded it and tried it.  It does look like a much nicer way to browse the forum.

Glad you are finding it useful!

More efficient as it requires less data than rendering full web pages as well. Don't need to keep sizing pages too.

You can view alpinezone.com as well if you are interested in the Northeast skiing forum.

I consider it a major deficiency of the Huddler platform that they don't have a mobile CSS.  Right now, on my iPhone, I need to tap twice on the home page to read a thread, and half the time I end up clicking on some person's profile by accident.

As a basic approach, when the site detects a mobile browser (which is easy), drop the carousel, maybe drop the featured threads, simplify the information.  Make the recent threads single-tap.  After all, there's no "hover" on today's touch screen devices.

For a good example of this done right, try www.cnn.com from both a computer and a smartphone.  Big difference; both usable.
