Best Après in SLC

This is a continuation of the restaurant thread.

Where are the best drinking hangouts in SLC for skiers (both local and tourist)?

Last year i read about someplace at the base of bcc. We checked it out and it was so weird we walked in and walked right out.

As I said in the restaurant thread the poplar street pub was cool enough but I'm not sure how many there were skiers.

Any spots worth checking out this year? I read some reviews and thought about checking out the bohemian brew pub as we're staying close by at the crystal inn midvalley. Is that any good for a mid 30s crowd?

Any suggestions throughout Greater SLC would be welcome.

Love Bohemian's beer, seems like a chill place (never hung out there, just stopped by after riding for a growler).

How can you know a place is weird just by walking in and out? I assume that was Porcupine.

The Beerhive is the place to go if you want a huge beer selection; The Depot is good for live music.

I just looked it up and it was the canyon inn.

We saw black lights, cheesy interior, a drunk old guy standing in the middle of the place and not many other people if any, so we walked out.

Sounds like we would have been better off at the porcupine!!!! Especially since we were walking distance to our condo!

Park City is probably the better place to start looking for a skiers hangout. I can't think of anyplace in SLC that I would consider apres ski. On that notion I will say that the most iconic ski bar I have been to yet (Mangy Moose soon) will have to be Legends. Park City Mountain Resort. Walking through the little complex they have there. Pretty wicked.

Hard to beat that. Stay at the Marriot. No drunk driving to worry about. Walk in to the town, yada yada.

I like the Bohemian brewpub.  Then again, I like mass quantities of garlic.  The Bohemian is one of the few brewpubs making a true lager.
