Rossignol S80W suitable out west?

Hello all,

My girlfriend is an intermediate skier (blues and blacks, beginning moguls) and we live and ski/ride in the northeast. We're taking our first trip out west to Snowbird/Alta this winter and are super excited.

We're wondering if her skis will be suitable out there or would she be better off renting something there? Her skis are 2011 Rossignol S80W (http://www.evo.com/outlet/skis/rossignol-s80w-womens.aspx).  Is an 80mm waist adequate for all the powder we hope to see? Will the bit of rocker help her out? What do you guys think?

Thanks a lot!

Probably both. Take the Rossis, if you get a massive dump (which you may or may not), rent some bigger skis. Have fun!

I agree, 80mm will be fine for any groomer skiing in Utah.  Once you get there check into taking a powder lesson and rent some skis for that.

Thanks, guys. I suppose that makes the most sense. We'll bring them and see how it goes, but most likely they'll be fine.
