Synopsis
Skies will be mostly cloudy tonight with dropping temperatures, down to about -16.

Skies continue to be mostly cloudy but it looks like it will remain dry. It will continue to be fairly chilly however.

Cloud cover increases on Sunday with some light snow flurries developing Sunday afternoon. Plan on increasing snowfall on Monday. A major snow event is expected Tuesday through Thursday next week. Although freezing levels will be climbing briefly to about 1700m, don't be surprised to see additional snowfall in the 4-6 feet range those three days.

Opening day today... Great soft-pack/hard-pack mix on Red/Emerald Chairs.  Real skiing on the few runs and semi-open runs...

This forecast - jeezus I ain't a ready for the big stuff yet..

I know this thread isn't worth commenting on; but just to follow up:

Sunday night Nov 20: Possible was 220cms : NOV 21, we got 65cm down to base of Emerald and 10-15 as Possible that day....  then nada... Possible Nov 22-26 shows a total of 15cms. TOTAL.  And now its HIGH avi conditions.  False advertising ? Misplaced optimism ?  Burned i say.

It all came down here.  The Cascades are getting buried, though the snow level is jumping all over the place.  We'll have a great base real soon.  Baker is showing a base at the lodge of 69" with lots more on the way.

That 4-6 feet was only 65cms but that wind...

And last night we had 50mm of rain below mid-stn. Stuck between the justifiably closed Alpine and the rain-line. Still a great start to another rippin' season.
