Pop-up site survey comments

This just popped up and I'm working through it.  I hope the results will be shared with us.  

 

First comment...  I think the selections for how many days are going to be disproportionately in the "over 20" days category.  I think there should have been a wider selection as there are tons of people in the "over 50 days" category.  I'd like to see the results on this one especially.  

 

Skill level.  Would love to see this broken down by gender...and by the number of days skied.  I think past threads have showed that many of the better skiers actually know how much they don't know and hesitate about the "expert" level.  

 

Ski Destinations...Too restrictive on the one hand (naming specific resorts more than regions) yet excluding all of Europe.  Naming Vermont instead of saying New England.  Who came up with this?  Is it an industry standard list?  Somehow I doubt it.  The PNW is left out, but Bozeman is in there.  (clearly Nolo).

I saw that and just ignored it.  I've worked in marketing and market intelligence for a couple companies in the past.  They usually don't want data from people that are too closely affiliated with the sponsor or source of the survey population.  Being that I have the ads turned off, and that I am technically an ambassador with some control over the content on the site I disqualified myself from providing demographic info that might end up in the end data.  If I were designing the survey I'd probably only query members and not supporters simply because I assume they want to find out characteristics of the people likely to be viewing the ads.

The survey is through Crowd Science. They are working for us, not a sponsor. This survey is not a pop up, but will appear in the lower right corner of the page.

 

If you should be invited to take a survey via any kind of pop up, please let me or Cirquerider know asap so we can close 'em down.

I'd call this a "pop up", but it isn't a separate pop up window though.  And, I have the ads disabled.. I also have the pop up blocker enabled.  th_dunno-1[1].gif

Hey Charles I had the same ad pop up about two weeks ago. This was the response from one of the Huddler guys:

I think he nonono2.gif should be up one line in your post. I bet Charles is going to come on and tell us that the site is his daughters or something for his daughter, but we know the truth. wink.gif
