WTB: 175-185cm All Mountain Ski.

I'm looking for a nice/gently-used pair of 175-185cm one quiver/all mountain skis (preferably with binding). Ideally something that is playful and keeps me afloat in the powder, but is still able to hold a nice edge on the hard-pack. I'm a 24 year old, 6'2" 180lb male aggressive skier, that probably skis 70% on / 30% off piste, but would like to move to 50/50 (that's why I'm looking for some different skis). My price range is flexible, so let me know if you have some extra skis laying around for sale that fall into this category.

Cheers,

Rik

I just may have the perfect ski for you. Last year's (2011) Fischer Motive 84 175cm, $450 plus shipping. They are in mint condition, skied about 6 times. Only reason I am selling them is too many skis in that width. they are really great skis and fit what you are looking for perfectly. Search for Dawgcatching's review on them on Epic and draw your own conclusion.

I was going to list them for sale her but just hadn't had the chance.

Thanks I'll look into them and let you know. I will say that $450 + shipping is on the very upper end of my price range, so I would really have to like the ski.

A deal fell through, so I'm still looking. I would really like to get my hands on some Volkl Mantra's or a pair of last year's Volkl Bridge's if possible. Let me know if you have any laying around that could use a new and appreciative home.

I have a pair of 2011 Volkl Mantra's w Salomon STH 14 bindings. Used only 5 days last year - near new condition (I have quiver). Truthfuly, the 184 is too big for me; am only 5'9" 160. Great ski, I'm just going to stick to shorter in same stick. Thinking $650-$700 gets someone a sweet deal. Will send pics & info to any real interested party. JD.

I'm not sure if you are still searching but I have a pair of '06/'07 184cm Stockli DP Pros that have been sitting for 2 seasons. They currently have no bindings, were originally mounted with Marker Piston Controls (to a 315mm boot sole) and then a Naxo AT binding. All holes are sealed and plugged. They have approximately 50 days of skiing on them and show the normal topskin wear, edges and bases are in good condition (2 small welds one one ski and a couple of ptex gun repaired scratches between both skis - all professionally repaired) I would rate them as a 7 on a scale to 10. They were tuned and coated with storage wax. Dimensions; 125/94/111 with a 29.5 turning radius. A great ski on hardpack with the construction of top and bottom sheets of titanal and a full wood core combined with the width for soft snow. I used them as my soft snow ski, thus the shift to the AT binding but replaced them with a ski that had a shorter turning radius. $250.00 plus shipping. I can send pictures if you are interested. Thanks.

I have a 192 Armada TSTwith Marker Griffon bindings that is this years ski for about $520, or $420 w/ot binders. They have about 15 days of skiing groomers and one day of crud skiing. If you have not found what you are looking for let me know, I have a whole basement full of stuff that may work...we are similar in size and I buy a lot of crap.

I have a brand new pair of unmounted 181cm Head Blackjack 80's that I would sell cheaply along with a pair of Head LD 12 bindings. These are marketed as a park ski but are actually quite stiff and are a great all mountain twin tip.

I can let the skis and bindings go for $250 shipped.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

I have a pair of last years (10/11) Blizzard 8.1 Ti Magnum's in a 179 with a Griffon demo bindings I'd let go for $285 + actual shipping.  They have a few of the normal topsheet chips that aren't very noticable and some minor scratches on the bases but no core shots or anything worth doing a repair.  These didn't get hammered like some demos.  I'm 5'11, 215lb, live in the PNW and ski these just about everywhere.  Rip groomers and then head to the moguls, trees, etc.  They do fine in 8-10" of new snow as long as there is something firm underneath and you're not trying to ski fast, straight lines.  Plenty of reviews on this site.  PM me if interested.  I can provide pics.  PM incoming

Thanks,

LT
