Any updates for conditions at PCMR? Waiting to book lodging.

Hello everyone, sorry for the newbie question.

My girlfriend and I are planning on heading to PCMR this upcoming Dec. 9-14th. We booked our airfare through Southwest but were holding off on lodging until it looked like the conditions would be ok. I've been checking the PCMR resort page for snowfall but it looks like they don't start updating that until 11/18. How can I check to see how the conditions are looking? I don't want to wait too long to book lodging. Any ideas if its looking good or not for early December? Thanks!

I don't see any down side to waiting to book lodging and you might get an even better deal?  LCC/BCC will almost certainly have better conditions?

What is LCC or BCC?

Agree with shredhead on both counts. However, just to add a little optimism, looking pretty good so far. They didn't get much prior to november, but have been getting periodic storms since. Storm this upcoming weekend looking good with more after that. I would be surprised if there weren't at least a fair amt of blue groomer terrain open. If you're looking for double black steep pow sking, who knows. Need a bunch of snow to cover those slopes.

Little and big cottonwood canyons. Are higher and get signif. more snow than PC or pretty much anywhere else for that matter. PC gets snow fall more like Colo. which still ain't bad.

What resorts would I look for in LCC and BCC? What location is it in VRBO? Pretty flexible as to where to go since we only have airfare booked so far but it needs to be good for a begginer and an intermediate/advanced. I have no issues on blacks but she still struggles on blues.

Nevermind, just found that the two resorts there are Brighton and Solitude. I will take a look to see if I can find any deals on VRBO for those places.

Thats BCC.  LCC is Snowbird and Alta which tend to get the most snow

Thanks for the heads up, I will check those too. Any suggestions on where to stay if we want to be in walking distance of the slopes?

Ha! Well after reading this, I think we are going to stick with PCMR and save the girlfriend from tearing an ACL. She has only skied once before in West Virginia late last season. Snowbird sounds a little tough for her, but maybe next year.

Assuming everything is open, PCMR is good for beginners with a dedicated lift as well as top to bottom beginner run.  She will likely also like the shopping and restaurants in town
