First Turns in the Inland NW

Well I woke up today and thought I'd check the Snotel for Mt Spokane (Quartz Mt) and was surprised to see 14" reported. Scraped the storage wax off the Powder Boards and headed up to check things out.

This is the first time I boot packed all the way up, always skinned before. Wanted to ski my Praxis to stay on top of things and the bases on those are indestructible. All in all it sure was a "great" workout. Turns were good at the top and where there wasn't forests of brush. (Invest in a brushcutter Mt Spokane!)

A lot of work for little reward, but fun none the less. Saw a few others on the way up and more arriving when I was leaving. Looks like winter is back in the Inland NW.

Lots of things to dodge below. 16" most places.
