Carving on Chopsticks

This year,I bought a pair of Volkl Chopstick 2011 and Marker Jester Schizo 2011 and I was wondering if those skis are actually able to carve on hard packed snow? I have good legs (I train and play alot of sports like football and etc) if that changes anything. I got another pair of Fischer but they are ugly and too small so I wish I wont need to ski with them anymore.

Yeah they can, there is nothing in physics thats say they can not.

 

With that said they are not going to be easy.

Well thanks guys I imagine I will have to try them to see if they work good on hard packed even tough I didnt really got what JayT wanted to say xD

I was just suggesting a picture of someone skiing on huge chopsticks like you'd see at a Chinese restaurant.

 

Anyhoo... Volkl Chopsticks are pretty wide and while I'm sure it's possible to carve on them, they clearly were designed for use in powder so they aren't going to carve anywhere near as well as a 80mm ski or even a 100mm ski... which is fine because that's not their purpose.

Got it :) And those are my first pair of wide skis. I want to ski something new this year after 8 years of on-piste skiing and I always liked to go in the woods and ski in powder. I wish that im going to like that XD
