Free stay in Vail - how many days do I need?

So I know someone who can supply me with free lodging in Vail during a three week period late jan/early Feb.

I've never been to Vail or even skied Colorado - is 3-4 days of riding worth the trip or should I go for 5? I'm probably a high intermediate by epicski standards and have some powder boards I can bring with me.

Obviously more is better but I'm trying to conserve PTO for a big summer vacation overseas later in the year so I'm trying to work out whats making it worth my while vs. cutting into my other plans. I'm based out of the Northwest so looking at about $500 for the round trip to eagle + anywhere from $250-$500 in lift tickets depending on how long I stay.

Thanks

I head out to Colorado for 3 or 4 ski days at a time - definitely worth it.

Go for 5 for many reasons.  But especially to take advantage of how lucky you are to have lodging there. It can be very pricey.  Vail is huge, plus your ticket will be good for nearby Beaver Creek too.  It would take a month to know both well.

Fixed it for you. Your welcome.

Honestly, if you've got the digs, stay for as long as you can. Could also economize by flying to Denver. $500 round trip seems pretty steep for the short flight from the PNW.
