Women's ski for a teen? Passion 2 or Lite Thang or Juicy?

My 13 year old had a growth spurt, was on a 130 last year, and the 141 Solomon Kittens I was hoping to put her on this year look too short.  She's 5'2- 5'3", 105 lbs, confident intermediate skiier on Ontario groomers.  Did some double blacks last year without blinking (unlike me).  I have an option on some Rossignol Passion 2 in a 146,  a Head Lite Thang in a 147, or a Roxy Juicy in a 146.  Any opinions what might work best for her?  She likes the graphics best on the Passion, but I know that isn't the best way to choose a ski.  Something to help her progress, not be too much ski. 

Appreciate any input on this before I invest.

Hi Welcome to EpicSki!

I think you're on the right track with looking at the Rossi Passion, thought its an older model and she may even like the Rossignol Attraxion Echo line as much, with some newer technology built into it. 

That is a ski that will help her move forward in her skiing and be okay for any growth spurt you have in the ski season.

 

The Juicy is a ski that's targeted more for the beginner/intermediate skier, so I wouldn't go that route, if she's skiing like you described.  

 

A ski that I sold to a few younger girls last year was the Salomon Lady. Its attractive, has a nice flex, although a bit wider than the skis you mentioned.

your daughter sounds better than my daughter.  We ski at holiday valley  and she can handle most diamonds over there (providing they are not icy).  She went from 130 (k2, sorry forgot model but it was a kids ski) to k2 true luv 156.  She grew (and continues to grow) quickly.  She is 5' 7" and about 115 lbs.

 

I didn't want to get stuck buying her new skis incase she outgrew them. She had no problem adjusting especially because of the rocker technology which skis slightly shorter.  

 

We waited until demo day which was in december so she could try them out. But then I had a hard time actually finding the ski as all local places where sold out.  I ended up purchasing online to get them in time for Christmas.
