Looking for a beginner skis, but not the really basic ones

Hi,

I would like to get your recommendation on which models to consider.

I am a beginner, 5'8" and 130 lbs (quite skinny), and I am looking for used skis from previous years.

I thought to look for skis in the length of 158-163cm.

I started to look on eBay, and found some deals on K2 force A.M.P from last year, and Salomon X-wing fire from 2010.

I thought there may be a good fit for me, but I was told that they are very basic skis, and I will outgrowth them in few days.

So I am looking for something that will last longer, but won't be too much for me to handle.

If I'll have a list of several possible options, it will also help me to make the right choice when I'll go to the local gear swap.

Thanks!

P.S. I already have boots that was bought in a professional store.

Wouldn't it be cool if there were about 600 threads on the same subject and a convenient search bar near the top of the page where you could type in something like "beginner skis" or "K2 Force"?

Get the red ones.

I will probably have a set of 08 Fischer Hybrid H7 skis for sale with FS 11 binding.

Its a beginner through growing intermediate ski. Great for the east coast groomers.

Did you try to search for "beginner skis"?
I did. I read some of the recent threads there, but the other ones are too old. A recommendation for skis from 2003 won't help me a lot.
