Need suggestions for next skis

Realistically a level 6.

I ski my local western mountain most often Bogus (Not very powder heavy for a western hill)

I got bought my first set of my own skis 2 years ago with a set of used Head Xenon 4.0's and they were a great ski for the price but they are a bit narrow underfoot (73) and flounder off piste and are a bit flappy at speed.

I'm looking to upgrade my skis this year and need some suggestions for all mountain skis. Will be an on/off all mountain ski. I want to be able to explore more run powder and still be able to run groomed runs well with my truly novice wife.

I have a decent set of boots. Got fitted and bought a set of Dalbellos that ran 3x the price of my used sticks. I'm not looking to spend 1K+ for a set of new skis.

The local ski swap is next weekend and I'm looking for suggestions as to what to look for to pick up. I've seen recommendations for Volkl AC30's and Head 84s but I'm not sure. I'm not familiar much with the K2 line but it seems to be the most popular locally.

What should I be looking for this weekend, and what should I be looking to pay for used gear?

6'1 190lbs

currently on a set of 170's

realistically looking at 170's through 177's

Thanks for any input.

You've got a good start with the Boot Fit!  beercheer.gif

If you find a great deal on something like the AC30, then it may be a good place to start for you, but you may grow past that in short order.  The first skis that come to mind for your location and skiing advancement are (of course) Blizzard 8.7's, K2 Richtor, or Aftershock, Fischer Motive 84, Salomon Enduro .......

I really believe that the Blizzard Mag 8.7 and Fischer Motive 84 will be good skis to take you to your next level and not make you feel like you're outgrowing them too quickly.

Ski swap was a bust this year. Mostly abused and beat up rental and demo fleets.

But got out to the ski shops around town and hit up the net looking for new old stock 2010s and 2011s.

It looks like twin tip all mountains/park skis are plentiful on the new old stock market.

I've been looking at:

Head bullet 84s in 181cm (120/84/110) with mojo 12s

Coreupt Candide Yards 181cm (114/85/110) with mojo 12s

Surface Double time 180cm (124/90/113) with PX 12s

All can be had for around the same price. I won't be mounting these centered for park use will have them mounted further back in an all mountain setup.

Any of these a decent option?
