Realistically a level 6.
I ski my local western mountain most often Bogus (Not very powder heavy for a western hill)
I got bought my first set of my own skis 2 years ago with a set of used Head Xenon 4.0's and they were a great ski for the price but they are a bit narrow underfoot (73) and flounder off piste and are a bit flappy at speed.
I'm looking to upgrade my skis this year and need some suggestions for all mountain skis. Will be an on/off all mountain ski. I want to be able to explore more run powder and still be able to run groomed runs well with my truly novice wife.
I have a decent set of boots. Got fitted and bought a set of Dalbellos that ran 3x the price of my used sticks. I'm not looking to spend 1K+ for a set of new skis.
The local ski swap is next weekend and I'm looking for suggestions as to what to look for to pick up. I've seen recommendations for Volkl AC30's and Head 84s but I'm not sure. I'm not familiar much with the K2 line but it seems to be the most popular locally.
What should I be looking for this weekend, and what should I be looking to pay for used gear?
6'1 190lbs
currently on a set of 170's
realistically looking at 170's through 177's
Thanks for any input.
