It will be a while till I can test them out, tore my rotator cuff last week.

It's about the journey, not the destination, Jim. That said, I think we'd all be happier with a different outcome. You had a great run. Get well soon and put those Chariots to good use.

sorry to hear that you didn't win AND you tore your rotator cuff.  Sounds like a round of bad luck to me.  Fortunately, you are rehabbing during lousy ski conditions.  Hopefully you'll be able to work some during the busy week next week.

 

Hope you get better soon.

Thanks Mike :)

 

Nothing dramatic really, just stuck my foot in an unseen hole & fell over.  I must have opened my palm to break the fall & felt the tear.  I also fractured the humeral head, so I am waiting for the bone to heal.  Hopefully things will reattach on their own & I can avoid surgery. 

 

Best case scenario, I will be skiing again by the middle of January.  Surgery would put me out for the season.  First time I have ever been sidelined from skiing for more than a few days.  I am not too bummed though.  I figure I was way overdue & as you know, it could be a lot worse.  I would ski right now, but the doc says no.  I will be released to go back on light duty next week :).  In the meantime I have been spending a lot of time on a stationary recumbent bike & elliptical trainer along with some careful hikes.

 

Make some turns for me in the mean time...  GO NINERS!

Woohoo!  After last night I told my buddy who's a Pittsburgh fan that the Niners out-Steelered the Steelers in that game.  Tough defense and running the ball while controlling the clock.

I am not a huge football fan, but a lifelong 49er faithful.  My best friend's father in 1st grade was a receiver for the niners.  It is nice to see them back in form after so many dismal years.  How about that Aldous Smith #99!  That guy is special.
