You figured out who won the drawing for the free lodging, but couldn't read that you get 5 entries in said drawing for winning the photo contest...I realize some of my writing for the contest was too verbose, but I thought that was clear

Dude, you should know better than to run those stupid ancient Burton step-ins. They were sketchy when they were new. I thought you had some Bombers? If Fin makes Sidewinder Step-ins, I'll sell you my old ones.

That's an old picture. cool.gif  I gave them away to some guy on Bomber - can't recall who.   On that board I now have Burton race plates.  On my 178cm SG board I ride F2 Race Ti.

OK, I know it's over, but it's a fun thread.

I have no idea what I was thinking when I set up this shot standing in the target zone. Note to self: Please don’t do anything this stupid again.

In these days of powder fats, any fool can ski powder.  Once upon a time, it took a fool with a bit of skill. smile.gif  Here’s my ski buddy carving – no, skewering – the pow.  Extra style points for wearing his wife’s neon jacket.  I miss neon.  No, really. smile.gif

Who says south-facing runs make no sense? J  You powder hounds that wouldn’t dream of touching a slope like this have no idea of what you’re missing.  A run that makes you laugh out loud from top to bottom out of sheer ridiculousness is one of skiing’s best moments.  Remember, “There is no such thing as bad snow, only bad skiers.” (Otto Frei in Powder Magazine)

Into the abyss at Silverton.  Some of us had our doubts, including me.  Our guide said, “Guys, I’ve seen you all ski and I know you can all make it down here.”  And he was right.  An unforgettable day of skiing.

For someone from the Midwest, with its 400 foot verticals, skiing above the clouds on Mt. Hood is pure magic.

some would say that it shows they are trying and will give you some skiing regardless of weather

Just like skiing the Midwest.  If not too crowded it looks fun!
