Mountain of Storms

In the summer of 1968 climber and surfer (and Patagonia founder) Yvon Chouinard, climber and skier Doug Tompkins, and champion skier Dick Dorworth – set off from California in a old, van to surf, ski and climb their way down to the southern end of Argentina where they met up with a young British climber, Chris Jones. Their goal was to climb the mountain Cerro Fitz Roy. Filmed and edited by Lito Tejada-Flores, and narrated by Tom Donahue.

Currently up in 6 parts on youtube. Part 2 has them sand skiing dunes and snow skiing on a volcano. The latter parts deal primarily with climbing the mountain. Great road trip; pretty cool time capsule!

Played fullscreen in its own window for me it automatically jumped to the next part. You may have to click.

Glad some folks are seeing and enjoying this like I did!

Actually I made that my signature when I saw the literature for the Blizzard Black Pearl.  It said, the ski would inspire her to Eat Pray Send

As in, Nourish yourself, be inspired, and don't hold back!
