I'm hoping to take my level 3 instructor exam this season and need some appropriate skis. 6', 165lbs. I'd really like a ski with a super sharp turning radius and amazing edge performance. Primarily concerned with groomer performance. I have two pairs that are adequate for all-mountain skiing. A constraint is that the shops out here only seem to demo skis with waists 84mm or greater, so probably won't be able to demo any ski that interests me.
My skis include the peak 82 @ 177cm (enjoy stability at speed, but not the wide turning radius or lack of edge performance), dynastar contact cross @ 172cm (enjoy the 15m turn radius and decent edge performance but am frightened by the MCL tear inducing bindings) and the 2008 x-wing 10 (in a dumpster/landfill as they noodled out / snapped when a friend borrowed them)
Any suggestions? I'm considering the following, simply based on their specs, but am open to anything:
Head Icon tt 80.0 @ 176 or 170 (no idea which)
Head worldcup isupershape magnum @ 170
Head i.supershape titan @ 170
Thanks in advance!
