Just picked up a pair of 160cm Blizzard SLRs for my grandson (ex racer) and need to adjust for his new Lange RX130s. His boots measure 316mm and the increments on the binding are 315mm and 325mm. When adjusted to the 325mm setting the boot C/L is foward of the hash mark (assume this is the mid point on the ski). Would not think mounting foward would be a good idea on such a short ski.
1. Is the sidewall hash mark which matches up with the retaining screw for the binding the mid point on the ski?
2. Should I make the adjustments that put the C/L of the boot closest to the hash mark?
3. How does this binding indicate proper forward pressure? Should the screw be flush or are there marks on it?
Thanks for any help. I used to be a certified binding mechanic (in the distant past) and can always take it to my friend's shop but adjusting this seems very simple but without a manual I want to make sure it is done properly.
