Hope this is the right place to ask this question...
I just received my 178cm Dynastar Legend Mythic Riders (now there's a mouthful) and PX 14 TI's bindings (not mounted).
Now I'm going to get them installed - but I'm still curious: I thought the manufactures usually mark the ski where the boot mid-sole ought to be? Can't find anything on those MR's. Now there is the marking for the drill bit size in the approximate position (according to a Dynastar manual, the mid-sole point is at 78cm - assuming measured from the rear) but no "line" or anything like that.
Anybody have any insight?
Also...the PX14's come with some sort of lifter plate (appears to be around 5mm)...is there any harm installing them on a 88mm wide ski? Only asking because without those plates the screws would be too long. I can't imagine it would change handling much but I would guess they are usually used on narrow-waisted skis....
