Getting cold in your neck of the woods yet?

here in Vancouver BC it's forecast to be one of the coldest winters in 20 yrs as la nina revisits us

http://www.theprovince.com/technology/coldest+winters+decades+forecast+Vancouver+Victoria/5529085/story.html

woo hoo!beercheer.gif

...so that means our local mtns (Grouse, Cypress, Seymour) which we use weeknights

will be nice and COLD...no slushy PNW heavy sh*t developing (on wkends we head to whistler or the interior or to mt baker).

even  today on Oct 2nd, it was only 2C (35F) above in the morning....and I just read Cypress mtn temp at being 2+C ....

love it love it love it.

this is so ''un Vancouver like'' this early on

...hopefully a sign of even 'cooler' things to come.

Just saw the forecast for the first storm of the year... in boston. Although it looks like it will be mostly rain in boston, SNH will get some snow. 30 Days until my home mnt opens, can't wait.

12"+ forecast at my place over the next 18 hours or so.  We'll see how the High Country does with this one.

Snow in the forecast. It was below freezing most of the day yesterday

It's been well above average this past month here, but it's finally getting to where it should be, and we're supposed to have a real drop about a week into November, but that's pretty far out so who knows what'll actually happen.

well, its going to hit 80 in Houston; but i'm only in Houston physically once the ski season starts.

i've looked more at the Breckenridge main street webcam: http://www.brecklivecam.com/ - than i have out the office window today. if i could just get that winning lotto ticket, i'd be there in person.

they are actually bulldozing snow off the sidewalks they have gotten so much snow. i think you can say the base for this season in summit county is complete.

only thing that isn't beautiful is that line. can't wait til a few other vail resorts open to alleviate the crowds.

Light snow here this AM.  About 100 miles E. of Park City down hi-way 40.  The Unitas have shown a good blanket of termination dust for a week plus.

Hopefully it is about time for PCMR to blow its' WROD.  popcorn.gif

Temps in Tahoe lowered enough last night that both Northstar and Heavenly started making snow... so that's a good sign.
