SKIREPORT.com, hijacked by onthesnow. worst ever

okay, just a gripe. The best snow reporting website has been bought or taken over by onthesnow. Such a POS website and now I cannot see snowfall totals for all resorts in one spot, see maps etc. its soo soo crappy.

I need an alternative. Anybody know of one?

I actually like the reviews on OnTheSnow, but not loving how they're consolidating everything. Aren't they owned by Vail now? Just what we need is the entire ski blogosphere being swept under the corporate umbrella.

That being said, what resorts are you looking for reports from? Some resorts have solid independent reporting sites (like Guru Dave's for Snowbird), which are a good alternative. I'm not sure of a comprehensive site for all resorts, though I'm sure there must be another.

I also like that quick daily snapshot they maintain with notable new snowfall totals at many ski areas, don't they still have it here?

Thank you, thank you, thank you!  I live far from any decent ski resort and ski report was my way of getting excited and living through others.  This new site is complete crap IMO.  Even the reports from skiers has changed in some way.  I'm glad I wasn't the only one.  Time to start my own?

Try skitown.com

That's what I use. Easy to navigate and is reasonably quick to update.

I agree about the point about watching snow totals afar and getting hyped... It's fun!

So that's why my ski report app keeps on crashing.  When i clicked on it just now it said on the snow.  What crap.  I just downloaded it and was really starting to like the ease of use of the app.

The ability to search any country is very cool.  The snow tracking is pretty thorough.

Here is a new one that just came on last month: www.skireports.com - notice the reports with the "s" on the end of it.

Thanks  stoud, it really sucks with no skiing and no skireport. It's obviously not as good as the skireport, I always like the user component, but things grow.
