New Boots 1mm Longer - is Binding Adj Needed?

New boots are 316 mm versus old boots at 315mm boot sole length.  Do the bindings need to be adjusted or forward pressure checked for such a small change?

Yes.

Yes, because the actual boot sole length can vary from the printed number because of shrinkage out of the mold.

Additionally, if you have a Salomon binding with toe wing and toe height adjustments, those would need to be adjusted as well, actually a more likely scenario than the forward pressure.

Forward pressure plays a greater role in release values than people think.

Which binding do you have, and do you have the old boot as well?

I could probably tell you if the forward pressure is correct.

FWIW, it is the beginning of the year(almost) it is probably a good idea to take them in and get them adjusted and checked for proper release just to be sure.
