Sorry if I came off as preachy, not my intention. Just trying to offer some first hand real world experience as it relates to Helmets.
Actually I have no problem with someone if they don't want to wear a helmet in any sport as long as they recognize that they are putting themselves at greater risk and accept that risk and its potential consequences. However when someone complains about not being able to find a helmet they can afford, that is pretty much a BS excuse. A good helmet costs no more than a good pair of googles, ski poles or gloves and is far less than the other equipment we must buy. Cheap out somewhere else, but as we all know we only get ONE head. It would be wise to protect it.
