Atomic Skis Are Not Flat

My wife has Atomic Cloud 7 skis.  I took them to REI sand asked them to grind the bases and make them flat and put a 1 3 edge on them.  They called to say they could not make them flat as they are too concave from the toe to the shovel. They can make them flat under foot. One person said it is the epoxy core that does not set quick enough in the mold.  Thoughts?  Comments? Solutions?

What do you mean by "make them flat"?

I didn't want them to just get new structure.  I knew they were concave as I put an angle on them and used a flashlight to check the bases.

The Cloud 7 is a traditional cambered ski.  It isn't supposed to be flat.  I think maybe you are stretching the capability of your local REI by giving them tune instructions rather than paying for the $30 wax 'n tune.

Edit:  I missed his point.
