Mad River Glen mid march

Thursday: Mad River Glen

Friday: Stowe

Saturday: Sugarbush

Sunday: Stowe

Ok so guys here is the start of some more info. The date have now changed to be thursday-sunday with a bonus day on Monday. the reason for the middle of march dates are this. There will be a base already and we have a good chance of soft snow whether it be spring like or winter like fresh.

Stowe is my home mountain it is the easiest for me to guide at, and also the best chance of you having a good day with me since I literally know it better than just about anyone despite my short time here. I will also be able to guide at MRG but will still like an other there so its not one big group.. I need people to step up for sugarbush. I do not know it at all, and I also do not know if I can get both saturday and sunday off. If someone can guide at sugarbush or can guide at other resort that day like Jay Peak or Bolton then we can move the date.

Cliff notes - I Need Guides especially for saturday! pick a place if sugarbush is not a good spot for you.

Are the dates set? Tuesday is the 20th. I've got 3 weeks vacation set beginning Tahoe week and ending on March 18th. Regardless of how you organize it this looks like an event I can hit. It's on the calender.

This is definitely on my radar. Thanks for scheduling it.

JohnL & LHC - Thats the same weekend as the Snowy Luau at Tline.

BW - Nice pictures.  I hope to make it up there this season, I'll look you up if I do.

Great to see this!  Wish I could ski the east as cheaply as I can in CO.  This will be on my radar regardlessicon14.gif

Awesome idea, great to put this out there now!  On my calendar.

Thats the tail end of my spring break, was thinking of hitting up some vermont resorts during break anyways. I'll keep this on my radar

Great idea BW.  Not sure if I can make the regular Gathering this year.  If not, I will probably some up for at least the weekend dates.

Stowe ski club appreciation days will be Mar, 14-18 this year. They offer substantial lift & lodging discounts during this time for ski club members.

This is on my radar as well.  Not sure if I will be able to swing it or not, but would love to do it if I can.

Dude, you don't read the body of emails, do you?

I may need to temporarily cover my sig line. Cough, cough.

I missed that this was posted earlier.  Members have asked for an Eastern Gathering, and this would be great if it can happen.  We have some great things being planned by the Gathermeister for the Tahoe Gathering starting 2/26 to March 2, but I know many need something closer in the East.

I think the dates of this event give the best possible shot at good snow and hopefully many bears can attend.  I'm kind of surprised to see this at multiple ski areas rather than focusing on Stowe.  How hard is it to travel between resorts?

Sugarbush and MRG are literally across the street from each other.  Both are maybe 30, 40 minutes from Stowe.  If you can get to Stowe, you can get between the three resorts.

I guessing easier than the travel between resorts on the schedule for Tahoe.

Sounds fun! Would be nice to get out and meet some local skiers. All my friends are scared fo the cold and don't ski or ride, my wife does maybe 2 or 3 days a season and my 2 year old is well 2...

If you add Jay Peak to the mix you get about the same travel time it would take you to drive from Heavenly to Squaw.

This is really good.  Something BWPA did not mention, we need to get guides for the different venues, for different abilities of skiers.  We like to ensure at least intermediate, advanced and an unlimited group have a good day.  So if you can help out, please be sure to send a PM to Josh and post here.  We rely on volunteers to pull off these events.

Also suggestions on places to meet, places to stay, eat and other details are needed.  The idea is to make it easy for us to get together on and off the slope.

Since I have a grandchild due in late Jan & Jane has one due in early Feb, the west is probably off the sched for us this year, but this sounds great. Discounts available?

Count me in !

(About 1 hr. South is 'The Beast')

I believe I am in for Fri, Sat, Sun.

Since I can't stay till Monday, I'm thinking of hitting MRG on Friday.

I might be interested... are there going to be all-inclusive packages, or is this unofficial?  Does anyone know how much $$$ a 4 night/3 day would run, all inclusive??? (a guestimate)???
