Apex Boots: Thumbs up or Thumbs down?

Brought up the topic of Apex Boots in another thread which makes me wonder other's opinions.

I loved the concept and thought they were awesome (in the store that is.)  On the slope I was satisfied.  Granted I'm a pretty aggressive skier and I'll jump off of anything once (lol).  Is anyone out there skiing in these boots regularly?  If so at what level and how are they performing?  I'm wondering if I didn't give them a fair chance.  I'm about to ship them off and just making a last minute decision.

Correction:  On the slope I "wasn't" satisfied.

Thanks:  I read through those posts.  lol.  A mix of opinions on these boots as with every other review on them that is out there.  I didn't hate the boots I simply think I had read so much negative press about them that I didn't give them a fair chance.  I certainly didn't push the limits with them and obviously they are not designed for aggressive skiing.  But,,,,,I love the comfort and concept so I was hoping someone was using this as a primary boot year round and willing to share "why."

I would say most people that buy this are not frequent skiers. If it was such a good idea I'm sure the industry giants would jump on it.

What weren't you satisified with? The videos I have seen are with sweeping, arcing turns (GS), but none with short radius turns or bumps.

I'm an ex-mogul competitor (12 years), but now at 40+ years and 2 broken ankles, I just want to get out and ski and not be in pain. I'd really love to demo a pair.
