Please check original post, we were talking about pre-owned. If you check over in Germany Audis with more than 150k klicks are rare, while Mercedes with over 200k klicks are common. I have a C Class with 185,000 miles that is going strong.
Audis are built on a VW chassis and share parts. I'm not saying that VW does not build ok cars, but they are german built and engineered for a certain level of maintenance. In my past experience, Mercedes drivers take better care of their cars than Audi drivers, especially in the US. So if I was looking for a used (ahem, I mean "pre-owned") I would tend to look for a Mercedes. You can often find one owner low miles used Mercedes with perfect maintenance records.
Of course my family is from Stuttgart, not to mention Afalterbach, so I may be prejudiced. My cousin over there has a 1955 190 (Ponton) that is still going strong.
