POC Helmets and Goggles

Thread Starter

My daughter has the POC Julia Mancuso helmet and I want to get her some goggles.  I know the best way to get a match is to try them on, but I want to surprise her.

Does anyone know what goggles fit well (i.e. no gaper gap) other than the POC goggles?

Thanks,

Ken

What's the matter with the POC goggles?  At least you'll be fairly sure the blues will match.  Big issue, you know.

Anything like these below, will be a sure fit.

The reason I say so, is because I have Uvex wing race helmet; Carrera thunderball race helmet and Carrera Kimerik, Atomic Race goggle and Carrera STEALTH/Steel googles.. They all fit and interchange perfect with each other... The Atomic goggles virtually have ZERO gap.

Do a comparison for yourself

I have a POC helmet and use: POC goggles (the minimal single lens race and the Bug models), Swans (I think it is FZ) and a Marker (don't know the model name).  They all fit fine. I have not found the helmet itself to be hard to fit with goggles,  but, if you got the race model POC helmet, there is no helmet clip at the back. Instead there is a large black patch of a somewhat grippy rubber product. The POC goggles have on the back of their straps lines of a rubbery product (silicone I think) that does not slide against the helmet patch. Goggles without a silicone lines on their straps can slide off  if you are moving the goggles up to the top of the helmet. POC has a retrofit goggle clip available that presses in between the lining and shell that solves this problem or, you could apply a little silicone clear bead to whatever strap you decide to use.

Nothing that I know of.  Just trying to find a deal and want to see what my options are.

Thanks,

Our daughter has a poc helmet and googles, and the two are designed to work together.

(and no, I am not some company rep or something) :-p

I decided to have her try on what we have around the house.  Oakley and Zeal didn't work good at all.  I'll probably end up getting the matching poc "blue" goggles.

Thanks!
