Hi there! I currently have the chance to buy either of these 2 skis at a pretty good price and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on either (or the both!). This will be the 1st pair of skis that I've bought (I've skied for 20 years and have RENTED the whole time!) I'm 5'9" about 160lbs and an all-mountain skier and can handle just about anything that is thrown at me.... mostly out West, if I can manage it. I was all locked in on the Icelantics and then the Liberty deal presented itself. Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated.
Icelantic Nomad vs Liberty Morphic

They are not similar skis, really. The Nomad (I own a Nomad SFT 181cm) is quite a bit fatter (I know it's listed as a 105mm waist, but in truth, it's 110mm). It'll be floatier and quite a bit more soft snow oriented (I love mine, but they need about an inch of powder or consistent spring corn to really shine). I like the Morphic, too (I don't own it, but I have skied it) it's quite a bit narrower and stiffer than the Nomad. I considered it as a thinner, mixed snow, off-piste on firm days type ski. I would think the Icelantic Pilgrim would be the closest analogy to the Morphic in the Icelantic line up.
Have you skied the Pilgrim?
